The IELTS Listening test is the same for both the Academic and General Training modules. You will listen to four recorded conversations and monologues and answer 40 questions. The test lasts 30 minutes, with an extra 10 minutes to transfer answers if using the paper-based version.

- 35–36 = Band 8
- 32–34 = Band 7.5
- 30–31 = Band 7
- 26–29 = Band 6.5
